If saddness seems to be taking over your life you need to ask for professional help. If you are feeling depressed to the point that you can no longer function in your job or at school and you use to be be able to, then it’s time to seek professional help.

- Feeling more often than not irritable
- Continually worrying about past events or about an up and coming event to the point that it becomes distressful.
- No longer interested in life events that you once enjoyed.
- Having a negative view on life where you once had hope.
- No longer want to shower and groom and take care of your self.
- Sometimes it’s hard to recognize a gradual change – have others noticed that you don’t seem your usual self?
This is in no way an exhaustive list of signs to watch for but from reading those points you should see that the person has lost an interest in things that they once held dear.
Where they were able to function, now they find it hard to function or simply can’t do it any longer because of the over whelming feelings.
